Pronouns - Him/He

Hello, my name is Colin and thank you for visiting my profile page.

I am an Accredited Person-Centred Counsellor with extensive experience offering compassionate therapeutic support to both adults and young people.

As someone who has worked in industry for a large part of my life, it was the tragic loss of a dear friend that changed my life and took me on the path to becoming a counsellor.

This gave me a very personal insight into the importance of emotional and mental health support, and being able to provide that support is something I care about deeply.

As your counsellor I offer a safe and empathetic online space where your needs can be met, and we can explore your feelings and emotions.

Throughout my counselling career I have gained invaluable experience working with adults and young people, and have a special interest in supporting those struggling with grief and loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, relationships, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and school-related issues.

To add to my counselling practice I also bring my life experience to each session, including my time volunteering in the charity sector supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Client testimonials

”I had counselling with Colin recently due to unresolved bereavement issues.

Colin provided a comfortable, non judgemental environment by showing genuine concern and empathetic understanding.

I felt he really understood my experience which empowered me to reflect more and as a result, change direction in which to move forward.

He enabled me to focus on the potential that I am capable of and to explore my own strength. This helped me to discover a better understanding and awareness of self.

I am quite a deep person but I felt comfortable speaking with Colin in a relaxed, quite environment.

I express my gratitude to Colin for his professionalism. He provided me with invaluable support at an extremely distressing time.

Best Wishes” J

“I needed counselling. I thought I could cope with anything because I was a mental health professional. Colin gave me time and space to talk about my family trauma. It was the best thing I could have done. It allowed me to move on and live with the things I cannot change. Thank you Colin for your professionalism, kindness and for being real. Once you make the decision to be counselled, you won't look back.” Jennifer
